For the past 15 years Tire Stewardship Manitoba through the Community Enhancement Grant Program has awarded more than $1.5 Million to support communities using Manitoba recycled tire products in over 180 projects. This support has encouraged and assisted in successful growth and maturation of the tire recycling industry in Manitoba.
Given this success and after much consideration we have decided to PAUSE the TSM Community Enhancement Grant Program indefinitely and change focus to developing emerging markets in the province.
TSM will continue to support Manitoba communities through the Rubber Aggregate Road Building Grant program that encourages the use of Manitoba sourced tire-derived-aggregate (TDA) in community road and geotechnical projects.
The Tire Stewardship Manitoba (TSM) Rubber Aggregate Road Building Grant provides up to $20,000 in funding for the use of Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA) for approved projects delivered by Manitoba communities and non-profit organizations. The grant funding awarded, up to $20,000, is to be applied toward the cost of TDA and installation for each approved Rubber Aggregate Road and Geotechnical Project. A scope of work demonstrating a minimum 100 metres of road or geotechnical project equivalent is required. Grant eligibility is subject to one grant per community organization per calendar year.
Up to $ 20,000 for Rubber Aggregate Roads and Geotechnical Projects.
