COMMUNITY END-OF-LIFE TIRE COLLECTION FINANCIAL INCENTIVE PROCEDURE CHANGE
Tire Stewardship Manitoba (TSM) is implementing a revised community registrant financial incentive procedure effective January 1, 2020:
For end-of-life tire collections occurring after December 31, 2019, TSM community registrants will no longer submit end-of-life tire collection claims for receiving the 50-cent per tire financial incentive.
TSM will provide an annual community end-of-life tire collection eligible payout report indicating each collection posted date and the number of end-of-life tires collected on record from January – December calculating the total applicable eligible payout (e.g. 1,000 scrap tires X $0.50 per tire collected = $500 payout).
The TSM community end-of-life tire collection eligible payout report and related cheque payment will be mailed to the registrant by February 15th for the previous year covering January 1 – December 31.
For example, end-of-life tire collections occurring in 2020 will be paid out by February 15, 2021.
In the case of a dispute on the records and eligible payout amount, registrants can send TSM a request for an adjustment by providing copies of the collection receipts issued by collectors for the applicable period to validate the adjustment by March 31st, 2021.
Please ensure TSM has accurate contact and payment related information.
